I'd like more information. If it really does seem like we're going to have to deal with something like that, I want to make sure I'm actually prepared for it this time around. As well as you can prepare for anything in this place, anyway.
Knowing slightly less than nothing is better than knowing nothing at all. I certainly can't predict or extrapolate what's definitely coming, but the rapid loss of sunlight does lead me to wonder if that's not the 'something lost'. Framing it around snakes and an eye lead me to assume Egyptian myth and legend, which I am far from any expert in.
That's about all I have, and I'm not sure how to prepare for 'we might have to actually find the goddamn sun'.
The eye that was brought up is, to the best of my limited understanding, a depiction of the Eye of Ra, who is the god of the sun in Egyptian myth. And if I recall correctly, said deity is also aligned with or otherwise represented by serpents.
From there and looking directly out my window, I can sure as hell tell you it's already pretty goddamn unnaturally dark for this time of day. So I would infer there's some weird shit going on with the sun and any forces that might be invoked with regards to it.
You know, I don't know what I was expecting any other answer. Why would anything around here be simple and straightforward? Really, I'm the fool for not expecting to deal with gods right on the heels of dealing with demons.
[ It's impressive how she manages to get the sass through even in plain text... ]
I'll do what I can to research by myself then. It might not turn out to be relevant but it never hurts to be informed.

I don't know what you'll find with research, but I'm certainly not about to stop you. It might even prove helpful one way or another.
