[Takame's not about to comment on the birb things. He's here on a mission and the mission is to collect information and also maybe drink until they can forget it for just long enough to feel peace.
As one does. Here he is, pouring two shots for them to set on the table, taking a seat then going quiet for a bit before sighing.]
[he said in the most long-suffering voice ever, immediately taking a shot.]
It's like talking to someone that's casually affirming the sky is purple and gravity only works every third Friday, and treating that like the casual betrayal of basic laws of existence are totally normal.
I don't. All I know of your realm is from you, I feel as though ah, what is the phrase... the rug has been pulled from beneath my feet? Is that correct?
[He's not good with metaphors, but it was the best he had. Don't mind him as he also takes a shot.]
Exactly right, and about where I'm at right now as well. It didn't truly occur to me that there could be a timeline this absurd, but it stands to reason that a place like Chaldea could theoretically exist.
Which is like saying 'yes, someone in a similar world could build a giant robot powered by rainbows and dreams', but that doesn't mean I would have known to expect it. Fucking Animusphere.
We ought to expect the unexpected at this rate. [Refilling the shots as they speak.
At this point nothing should surprise Takame given the vastly different nature of this world verses his, but if someone told him this was just one of the shards of the Source he would be just as thrown.]
Apparently Holy Grails are a plural now, and they support timelines that would be otherwise cut off from what we know as reality. It was already a complex subject, and the kind of shit she's talking about makes it sound much, much worse.
There's more than one? [He's going to need a Holy Grail to drink all the fucking alcohol he wants to knowing that. He only knew of this Grail second hand but he knew enough to be absolutely horrified.]
... Those "singularities" she mentioned, those are supported by Holy Grails?
Apparently? I'm not clear--it can't be a literal Holy Grail as I understand the concept, but it sounds like a sufficient amalgamation of energy is indistinguishable from one. In which case, it's not impossible to assume magical energy on that level might be able to maintain a contradiction in the world.
I don't think she's lying, certainly. It's too fucking insane for anyone to make up.
...I was afraid of that. Setting aside the improbability of multiple Servants, contracting so many to one person is impractical on several levels--unless there was no other option.
[His tone was dark. Normally he wasn't someone to air out someone else's business, but... it was Waver. He trusted Waver.]
An explosion was rigged in Chaldea's command that killed the other options for Masters they had. She only came into the room to save someone who was left behind.
[quickly pouring himself another drink with one hand and writing with the other]
I wish I could say that necessarily surprised me, but sabotage is high on the list of things I would worry about when it comes to creating an organization ont hat scale.
No. She shouldn't. [Here he is once again, sighing. Drinking. Sighing again.]
Still, she is here. Two of her Servants are here who hold her in high regard. I've no doubt she can take care of herself, but... [He still worried. He was an older brother and someone with a vaguely similar burden, how could he not worry?]
Considering no one's given me a number of how many Servants she's contracted to, I would be more surprised if he wasn't. Nagiko already told me that Diarmuid was one of them, and I'd wager at least some of the Servants I'm aware of are ones she'd know.
[...judging by the very small smirk on his face, that was a crucial part of Waver's stilted Japanese vocabulary.]
Of course. If she's also Diarmuid's Master, then without him around it's my responsibility as his fellow Knight of Fianna to make sure nothing happens to her.
I know I do, Takame. I'm sure she'll be fine with Caster and Nagiko around, and if she manages to get herself in trouble past that I'm sure we'll be able to handle it.

But all of those words gave him a headache.
And as if to make the situation worse, he had another bomb to drop that made him seethe.]
... She is the only Master this Chaldea has to correct these contradictions.

To survive, she needed to carry on. She is strong for having done so, though I'm unsure how long she has been with this organization. [lol. lmao.]
I shudder to imagine what she's been through at such a young age.

[None of it good.]
She's definitely tough, there's no doubt about that. But she shouldn't have to be.

We'll just have to keep an eye on her.
